To check out all the submodules, clone this repo recursive: git clone --recursive or/and run checkout (for updates at least) git submodule update --init, where init is important when a new submodule was added.

So you might want to do it a little like this:

cd ~/.minetest/worlds/aestival-dev
rm -r worldmods # as this repo shall become our worldmods directory
# clone directly to ./worldmods 
git clone --recursive ssh://git@git.tchncs.de:2241/Illuna-Minetest/aestivalserver-mods.git worldmods

History:

This was our rC3 server in collaboration with minetest4kids. It turns into its own little Illuna world, available early 2021.
